Educators & Administrators
For more than 100 years, MPS has prepared graduates for life in the “real world” outside the classroom. Of course, incredible success doesn’t happen in a bubble. It requires the leadership, talent and dedication of amazing teachers and school administrators.
One of the crucial ways MPS maintains its outstanding reputation for academic achievement is through ongoing and comprehensive staff development workshops and programs.
Additionally, MPS employs the Certificated Staff Evaluation Process, which ensures that its educators are following the Millard Instructional Model, the core of the MPS evaluation system. It promotes research-based, data-driven instructional best practices.
Activities & Athletics
Since MPS manages elementary, middle and high schools, the activities and athletics offered vary from school to school and level to level.
The four MPS high schools offer a full range of sports options, including seasonal activities that are continually updated on the district’s website.
Learning Community
MPS is part of the Learning Community of Douglas and Sarpy Counties, a collaborative effort between the two counties, state and local legislators and area school districts. It aims to provide an educational environment that recognizes the interdependence of the school districts in the area and how educational achievement in the individual districts impacts the region as a whole.
